Aurora Glass Igloos in Kiruna

Welcome to the winter wonderland.

Our camp is located roughly 150 km within the Arctic Circle right next to the Torne River. If you are looking for the most exciting adventure, staying in our Glass Igloo under thousands of stars is definitely it. Especially if you are lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from the comfort of your own bed.

what do we offer

Every booking includes one pick-up and one drop-off, breakfast basket as well as one sauna session.

HOW do they work?

Glass Igloo is state of the art piece of technology. Inside you will find everything you need for a comfortable living including nice double bed, kitchenette, toilet and much more.

Travelling to the igloos

Our camp is located 12 km from the centre of Kiruna. Although there is public transport to the camp, you can book a transfer with us.

We offer two incuded transfers in each booking (one pick-up and one drop-off).

Daily transfers are offered between 10:00 and 17:00.

Our scheduled transfers to and from central Kiruna are:

11:00 – Aurora River Camp to Kiruna City Centre

14:30 – Kiruna City Centre to Aurora River Camp

Transferring to and from the Airport

We are also offering transport from and to the airport between 10:00 and 17:00.

If you would like to choose that option, plase contact us in advance with all your flight details. On our way back to the Camp, we can stop by the local supermarket so that you can buy everything you need for your stay.

Please note

Check-in time is  15:00 and check-out time is 11:00. All transfers must be pre-booked.

Once we receive your transfer details, we will contact you and we will schedule it.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE PREPARED

Food and drinks

The closest grocery store is in the neighboring village, Jukkasjärvi, which is easily accessible (800m walk) from the camp during the winter months. There are also a few restaurants in Jukkasjärvi, including the famous Ice Hotel and Nutti Sami Siida.
Alcohol can be purchased in Kiruna at Systembolaget, a local Swedish liquor store.

Local tours

If you book any activities with local companies, they may not always offer a pick-up from our camp; please make sure to organize this ahead of time, as we do not offer transportation outside of the regular pick-ups and drop-offs.
